This website from the Ford Foundation offers resources from grantmakers for grantmakers on the tools and techniques of effective grantmaking. Among the tools available are guides, videos, and case studies that present the practitioner's view of philanthropy.

In Guidestar’s effort to create a more transparent and accountable nonprofit community, they provide searchable IRS Forms 990 for both public charities and private foundations.
