Community Development Partnership of West Virginia Provides training and technical assistance to nonprofit organizations.
Foundation Center Cooperating Collections
Contact information for cooperating collections in West Virginia can be found

Morgantown, Parkersburg, Shepherdstown, and Wheeling.

Provides educational information to inspire individuals to make charitable

This website from the Ford Foundation offers resources from grantmakers for
grantmakers on the tools and techniques of effective grantmaking. Among the
tools available are guides, videos, and case studies that present the practitioner's
view of philanthropy.
Guidestar
In Guidestar’s effort to create a more transparent and accountable nonprofit
community, they provide searchable IRS Forms 990 for both public charities
and private foundations.
Grantmakers for Effective Organizations
GEO promotes organizational effectiveness by identifying and promoting grantmaking
practices that improve grantee performance.
Independent Sector
The IS mission is to promote, strengthen, and advance the nonprofit and philanthropic
